Documenting Ann & Luke’s Journey from Proposal to Wedding
Some wedding stories begin with a proposal. Ann and Luke’s began with a surprise, a flight from the UK, and a ring waiting by the sea.
Their celebrations took us through four beautiful events — a surprise proposal in Kochi, a register wedding, a joyful Madhuram Vekkal ceremony, and finally, their Christian wedding in Alleppey overlooking the backwaters of Kerala.
A Surprise Proposal by the Sea in Kochi
Luke flew all the way from the UK to Kochi to surprise Ann with a proposal by the sea.
The moment Ann saw Luke with the ring, she was overwhelmed with emotion. Tears rolled down her eyes as she realised what was happening, and through all the emotion, she said YES.
There was nothing staged about the moment — just two people, the sea, and a beautiful beginning to their wedding story.
Their Register Wedding in Alleppey
The second celebration was their intimate register wedding.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Ann and Luke made it official before continuing their celebrations. Register weddings may be intimate, but they are filled with meaningful moments — the smiles, the nervousness, the little glances and the emotions shared with family.
As register wedding photographers in Kochi, we love documenting these moments just as naturally as we photograph larger celebrations.
Madhuram Vekkal & A Joyful Evening
The third event was their Madhuram Vekkal ceremony, a beautiful Christian tradition where the bride and groom are given sweets by their loved ones as they begin their life together.
The evening soon turned into a celebration filled with dancing, laughter, cocktails and close friends and family. Rainbow Cocktails brought the evening to life with cocktails and a curated menu for the couple.
There were plenty of spontaneous moments — friends dancing together, family enjoying the evening and Ann and Luke celebrating with the people closest to them.
A Beautiful Alleppey Wedding
The final celebration took us to Alleppey, surrounded by the beautiful backwaters of Kerala.
The wedding decor by ABM Events created a beautiful setting, while Ann looked stunning in her gown from Althea Bridals, with makeup by Ekhathe Makeup Artistry.
Before the ceremony, Ann and Luke had their first look in their wedding suite. Soon after, Luke waited at the altar as Ann walked towards him, holding her father’s hands.
As she walked down the aisle, there were smiles, tears and countless little glances between the people who had come to celebrate with them.
After the ceremony, Ann and Luke shared their first dance surrounded by their family and friends.
